Project Description

Heritage Restoration.

The Sendinggestig Museum was built between 1802 and 1804.

It was founded by the African Missionary Society in 1799.

The church is located in Long Street, Cape Town and is South Africa’s oldest indigenous mission church that still exists in its original structure.

Krause Painting and Restoration was involved in the restoration of this important historic building.

Our artisans, who are experienced in heritage restoration, carefully restored the facades with specialist plaster repairs and waterproofing methods.

These repairs were carried out prior to the Krause team applying a new Midas paint system to the building.  Custom made doors and windows were manufactured specifically to maintain the architecture and the heritage of this building.
