Project Description
External redecoration, structural repairs, joint sealing and waterproofing to two apartment blocks in Rondebosch.
The external facades to the two 21 meter high apartment blocks were accessed with use of mobile platforms and rope access equipment.
The works incorporated the application of Sika Silane/Siloxane water repellent to the firebrick facades, pointing to brickwork, plaster repairs, concrete spalling repairs, repairs to window sills, wall to frame sealants, torch on waterproofing and painting to all external walls, fire escapes, roofs and lift lobbies.
The Project was successfully completed with zero safety or lost time incidents.
