Project Description
Constructed in 1813 and restored by Krause Painting and Restoration in 2015.
The works included stripping down the external fabric to the building, repairing the heritage plaster with lime rich mortars, filling cracks with specialist fillers and re-coating the building in lime wash to match the existing finish.
The roof sheeting was treated and re-coated as well as timber elements such as doors and windows serviced and varnished.
Due to the age of the structure and its heritage stature, care had to be taken not to damage any of the original elements of the Het Gesticht.
