Project Description

Repairs and redecoration to the Salvation Army Building on the foreshore in Cape Town.

Extensive repairs to all the concrete windowsills and lintels were undertaken with the use of specialist SIKA concrete repair stabilizers and mortars.

Steel window frames were serviced and repaired, new glazing installed as well as large quantities of defective widow putty removed, and new putty installed.

The steel window frames received new polyurethane wall to frame sealant, ensuring water and wind do not penetrate the building at these points.

All previously painted surfaces were then prepared and re-coated with Dulux acrylic and enamel paints.

The works to this 25 meter high structure where all undertaken by our rope access technicians whilst the building was fully occupied.
